Herring Press was formed in 1983, and has been publishing visually-oriented books designed by Jerry Herring since then. Books have been produced for the public market (Santa Fe sold over 30,000 copies) as well as for companies and institutions, such as the history of the famed University Club of Chicago.

Walking Near Water
An Artist’s View of White Rock Lake

A photographic essay on the urban greenspace and wildlife habitat around White Rock Lake in Dallas by Sue Benner. Sue is a textile artist who lives just blocks away from the lake where she walks and records the images around her. This book represents a 5-year collection of images taken at all times of day, and across the seasons.
